Hi a question that's got me thinking if you fit a snorkel ? What else have you got to do with the electrics and all the bits that don't like water is it really worth it if you don't go really off road in a big way ?
Its just one of these moments when you see a snorkel fitted to a pretty standard Jimny and you say why ?
apart from the bit it looks ok

Obviously a snorkel is useless without extended breathers all round.

as for the electrics they seem to cope fine have seen jimnys driving through rivers with water levels upto the windscreen with no issues.

I regularly liberally spray all the connectors etc with wd40............... builds up a dirt/wd40 barrier.

My girlfriend and myself have a modified jimny each both have a snorkel no other breathers and both love a good swim, you occasionally get an engine light on the dash but it clears itself the day after haven't had any trouble what so ever with water related problems
