You're right and I have given it some thought but I do 20,000 road miles a year so I'm unsure about the longevity of a lockright and I don't want the expense/hassle of an ARB Locker.

I don't want a lift for similar reasons- cost and worse on-road manners. There's also the issue of insurance, although I haven't actually looked into that. Maybe I need to re-consider things!

Sorry to burst your bubble but a good suspension setup is far superior to a locker although lockers are good a good suspension will get you further lockers are for when you become cross axled were a good suspension set up will allow the axles to flex giving better drive though all four wheels where as one wheel will only get you so far

Agreed.
Suspension is everything. But no matter if you're running with 3-link, 4-link or whatever type suspension, £40 shocks does not make a good suspension.

theres much discussion on the subject of difflocks vs articulation and its a matter of opinion on the answer really and don't know were you got ddrive to one wheel from diff locks would send power to two wheels
