Cheers Dave

I have sold the Winch as it may be overkill anyway for what I need. If the ORA plate will not handle the 9500 winch its no good..

I will have to look at a smaller winch get a plate fabricated somewhere....

I wanted the winch for a "Just Incase Situation" and dont really intend winching myself all over the place, my Jim is not built for Green Laning its for Overland travel which is not the same. I am sure I will meet some challenging terrain but nothing like you guys do .

Just remember, that for overlanding, you're probably all by yourself. So getting stuck and not having a suitable winch for recovery can be more than just a little bit annoying. But I understand you don't need a massive fast winch. Still for overlanding, I'd go for something reliable, good quality, around 6000-8500 lb winch. Perhaps Goodwinch :)

I am lucky that I will always have someone with me, I have some Maxtrak Waffle boards, Shovel etc so a small winch will be ideal..

Does anyone rate Champion Winches
