I sprayed the whole roof of my gen4.
Well, sort of.
These little USB adaptors with light-up headlamps are very cute but no-one told the makers that all ivory Jimnys have a black roof. Luckily, I had a can of ZJ3 blue-black metallic - which is the correct roof colour - left over from fixing the rust spots on the gen3.

I drove mine from Manchester to Essex, kept to around 60 mph. 46.8 mpg. I'm really pleased with this FB74 purchased new, and despite the negative reviews, I have found it to be a comfortable car for long journeys, not too noisy at motorway speed, solidly built. Can't knock it for the money.

Painted my swivel hubs. Also found a broken front spring whilst in there, so decided to replace the front ones and thought I might as well do the shocks as well.

Finished the job off and put in the rear springs today. The shocks are less than a year old so no need to replace. Much better.

Time to replace the rear trailing arm bushes... Very worn and have been advisory on mot...
Bought a bush tool off Amazon and it worked ok for installing new bushes, but struggled to push old ones out. So resorted to drill, jig saw to cut through rubber after drilling holes and good old hack saw to cut through metal casing before cleaning, lubricating and pushing in new bushes. About 3 hrs per side... Also got to buy new tools. Best buy was a spanner extender...
