Many thanks for the info re: undersealing .I received two quotes, one for Waxoyl at £495.00 incl.VAT and the other for Dinitrol at £844.80 incl. VAT. The later is taking orders for May next year ( at least I assume it's for next year, they only mentioned the May ).
I wont be using either method as we did 114,000 miles in 14 years with the Shogun with only a small amount of corrosion in the engine bay, and the Audi has covered 25,000 miles in 6 years and is still pristine. Neither was treated with anything other than factory applied.
I do believe in pressure washing the underside at periodic intervals and that's it.

There are Jimny the same age as Dreadnaught that are apparently needing welding for mot. And then there's Dreadnaught waxoyl from day one with only a slight bit of surface corruption that I have corrected. A Jimny is prone to tin worm in much the same way as a v8 is prone to a drinking problem.

If comparison made do apples with apples.
Jimny not from same factory as audi. Jimnies seem to have a sort of tendency to rot in the long wet/snowy climates without a little extra care

Think the germans might have a slight edge understanding wet/snowy conditions and build their cars with that in mind.

Only you will be either happy or mad in 6 years time, for not taking a little care. Time will tell.

Agree with the pressure washing, if that's all you've got, however, a Jimny would be rotten if you left it 14 years with nothing on it - Mr. MOT would be poking holes everywhere :laugh:

Have any of you guys taken a look under a gen.4 or seen the products Suzuki have put on the inside of body seams? Suzuki have the courage to give it a 12 year warranty on perforation so maybe they have taken to heart the problems that the 3rd gen. have.

Have you read the small print and the conditions for that 12 year warranty and whats it actually cover. You might want to take a peek
