I rotated my tyres and also discovered that my osf lower damper bracket was slightly misaligned compared with the near side. Doesn't seem to drive any differently for having been rectified. Could just be one of those things or it's a left over from a particularly rough mot man a couple of years ago.

At the weekend I wanted to take the left wing off to see how it all looked underneath. I was pleasantly surprised not to find rust on the body itself, but the wing had a large chunk taken out of it from a rust spot. I'll be getting round to that one day. I had to gain access to the front body mounts to start and patch them up a little ahead of the permanent winter bad weather.
Behold, my terrible welding skills patching up the headlights!.. Thankfully the grinder made it look a bit better after...
Had a little bit of time to take the car out the day after on a local lane. Nothing too serious, but the sun came out which was nice. Managed to pick up a load of crap off the lane too (a random Suzuki mudflap, a land rover skid plate, some wellies, bottles and cans and a snapped winch rope); all went to the tip on the way home.

Not something that I did myself, but I thought I would include it as well...
I'm currently getting a proper roof rack built up by someone I came across on facebook. I took a lot of inspiration from this particular Jimny which I saw on this forum:
www.bigjimny.com/index.php/forum/8-my-ji...oject?start=72#91669
I got sent a few images from the welder and it's starting to take shape. I really like that camel trophy look with the bush wires to the bonnet.
Fingers crossed I should be picking it up either on the way to the Jimny meet, or on the way back from it!

Not the Jimny but a service and mot on the grand vitara. Whomever is responsible for the location of the oil filter on the 2.4 needs a smack. No advisories though, so that is good.

Gave Dreadnaught the 9k service. Oil and filter, plugs gaped, larger chunks of debris knocked out of the air filter etc. All ready for the waving to begin at the weekend. Apparently there's a chance of getting waves back instead of the more usual blank stare.

With 63 Jimnys converging on a small village in Berkshire your arm could become tired!
