Maybe a grease up of the mechanism will help to.

I still have a reasonable gap.

Took the metal frame off the front soft top, was pleased to see it was in fairly good condition. Gave it a wire brushing and a good coat of hammerite :)

Replaced all the standard bushes on my pro comp shocks with a full jimnybits kit. Hoping "warn bushes" never appears on my MOT advisory ever again, :-)

Used a large socket and a g clamp to wind the old ones out and put a bit of washing up liquid on the new bushes and metal inserts and they slipped straight in, :-)
