This was what I was thinking.

I don't know how long the O/S/R brake has been like this but surely it would have been checked after installation. Incidentally, the last 'keeper' (she sold it at the end of 2012 - God only knows who has had it in the interim year) had all work done at Halfords. I'll say no more.

A little edit...........how can a brake not be bled correctly, it is a Mickey Mouse task unless I am missing something. :laugh: :laugh:


Bleed the rear load sensor valve. I did mine and it made a big difference. Also try bleeding the rear brakes whilst the rear is up on ramps.

Air tries to rise and you have a better chance of getting the trapped ones out of the system by doing this.

Fitted two replacement Rear Half-shafts (2nd hand from J999PRE - almost new, huh)

Just bleeding of the brakes to be done tomorrrow :)

Now to get my old shafts fitted with new bearings and collars, ready for fitting when these fail.

Yes. It will have a small bleed valve that is likely to be caked in crud. Just tease it open otherwise it could break.

As the temperature dropped a little I thought I would check out the rear end ready to fit my tow-bar.
The bumper removal was a piece of cake thanks to all the info on the forum.

Once again I am very pleased with what I find that is out of sight most of the time.

My tow-bar is at present in two pieces, the main bar has a fixing at one end & the other fitting bolts to it.
My intention is to have a 'quick remove Tow-bar' just four bolts.

I'll update once the bar has been modified ................ ;)
