there is no problem on the road when you are in 2wd as the front drive train isn't engaged
to get the arb locker to work you will need a compressor

Smoggy wrote: Yeah thats my next issue darth. I have the output nipples from the diffs but no hoses and compressor fittings. Do I get these when I buy the compressor, im gonna go for the hd type as then i can deflate/inflate the tyres etc. Ive heard the solenoid outputs from the compressor dont come with the compressor kits and i may have to buy them as an extra from ARB
its probably worth having a chat with devon 4x4 as they are importers for ARB
they sell a compressor kit for £150 and the pipe at £1.50 a metre an can probably obtain the solenoids for them
you'll probably need switches 1 for the compressor and on for each ARB
we also have a flashing led for when the front arb is locked ( its best not to put any steering lock on when using the front arb as it will break halfshafts)

turned once off road at the top of a climb and broke the halfshaft - now only ever use it in a straight line and switch it out if I need to turn
