Just my 2p

I'm all up for people having a go them selves but they should have a go at designing it them selves as well. And if you do want to copy somebody elses design it's polite to ask !myers647 wrote: This is obviously a bit of a sore subject with some people, but if some one is willing to have a go for themselves at home then whats the problem. I could understand if REAPER asked for the design to mass produce them and sell them on then this would be a valid problem. I made some heavy duty recovery eye's and have sold quite a few to various members. I wouldn't be bothered if another member had a look and knocked a pair up for their selves, good look to them thats what I say. Thats just my 2p worth.

When you buy a part a big chunk of what you pay is cost and time it takes to design it.
Then you get people that say "I enjoy making my own parts " well that's all good but learn to enjoy designing them as well. or at least ask if it's ok to make one for personal use. I asked rob about his bead locks and he sent me the cad drawings for me to get "one" set laser cut.
I personally don't mind people copying my designs as a "one off" for personal use ! But not copying in bulk to sell and then have the cheek to charge more than I do !!!
To be honest though most transfer case damage I've seen is caused buy torque not buy impact so a chassis mounted skid won't really help unless it's used in conjunction with some kind of bracing between the 2 case mounts.
