K&N panel air filter was created by adam
Hi all,

I see on here, a few of you have K&N air filters. I was thinking of getting one but just checking im getting it for the right reasons as I seam to recall when I was a wee boy having one in a Nova and the reason was that I was a bit of a boy racer. I had no idea why I had it other than it was the cool thing to do and it made your little Nova sound loader.

Why are they used for 4x4s?

ps I have seen them on ebay for £25. Is that good? :)

I got the filter £26 off eBay . Sounds great with a snorkel . It's easy to clean . Makes your air intake a lot easier so less strain on the engine . And 100% better on fuel I'm getting more miles to every £40 I put in the jeep

if u get 1 you will notice the difference stright away but after a wile you get used to it like most mods i supose, i reconmend 1,also someone mentioned redex a wile ago that also made a difference.i to had one on my old nova sr,and on my vectra gsi 2.5 msd both sounded good and you have ur kap back box so should sound nice, some people will say it will be a minimal improvement but every little helps.o and we seem to get good mpg comperd to some.

I,d be more tempted to put a stainless box on as they get a lot of shit on and don't last two mins and you could buy a stainless for about same money.
As for the air filter it does make a good difference and sounds good when it drawing through the snorkel. I,ve fitted a larger bore stainless systems with no cat and 32" tyre and still get about 30to gal. I,m just having a go at 4 branch manifold ;)

Hey rhondda I have a kap back box. Doesnt really do anything to the proformance but as long as you dont have a toe bar or a rear chrome bar, it takes 5 mins to fit. and sounds awsome!!! but not boyracery!!
