Yeah I'll add another post sometime next week then! As for the front tints...there is a certain percentage that is legal isn't there? I got a funny feeling it's 25%. I like the 100% legalish lol.

There is a percentage, cant remember now, but the tint in the glass is about the limit, adding any tint can end in trouble, I've not been stopped in my GV with a light tint, but if the worst is to happen the insurance will look for anything not to pay out. Thats why i've removed mine.

Hmmm I think it is 25% on front side windows and nothing on the front windscreen. Hmm I know what you mean about the insurance but I'm sort of think that if anything does every happen I can just peel off the tinting film. Although I don't ever plan to get in that situation!

Came to fit my tints today and thought I'd quickly check with my insurer if I ha the green light....OF COURSE NOT!! I'm not allowed any mods what so ever as I'm under the age of 25 real shame. But I'm going to wait until my policy needs renewing then I'll say it already has tinted rear windows! So the time I would of spent tinting the Jimny will now be used for cleaning the Jimny!
The Jimny will be getting tinted eventually! So thank you all for your replies and help, very much appreciated as always!

You can legally fully tint the back window and rear side windows but if you haven't told your insurers that either you have installed the tint or the tint was on the car when you bought it and you have a prang and you or someone else claims they won't pay out if they find that the car was modified without them being informed (I.E not telling them about the window tints). So best to tell them before you do it!! Lol.
At the end of the day you could not tell them and drive around quite happily with no problems but if you do have an accident and they find out for the sake of £10 DIY fitted window tints you will of lost your insurance and be paying for everything!!
