If you soearch YouTube there are some instalation videos on Lockrites!
The only thing I can think is the rear of the diff case is not bolt off it's welded! Can u get in from the front side?

Yep, It will be time for the halfshafts out to get the diff out to work on, take your time to mark things up, I used 1 dot on one side and 2 dots on the other. So to replace in the right order and from the same side;)

Just make sure you tell your MOT man before they test the brakes! Or it is goodbye diff :-(
As a specialist brake tester engineer for Gemco, i've witnessed the results of testing brakes with a diff lock engaged on a lorry, not good!
The test procedure is to test each side individually to max force which will blow a diff, then they start both sides to test for imbalance which is ok, except for an LSD which a specialist 4x4 brake tester is required which can reverse 1 roller. These are found mainly in VAG dealerships to test cars such as a 4 motion /quattro VW / Audi ect. Never test the brakes with a diff lock engaged.

i believe, when these are installed you dont use the thick washers that come in the 1510 kit, but mine was already installed so cant say for sure

Decelerometer it is then!:)

To be honest I never even thought about brake testing with a lock right fit. I'm glad you mentioned this could have been expensive!!

I realy want to lock my rear diff! but as a brake tester engineer I know its a no no unless it can be disabled for the MOT. A decelerometer is still used in the trade, but not for MOT use.

I think one of us must have got our wires crossed. I'm an MOT tester and we still have a decelerometer at work for use on 4x4's with permanent 4 wheel drive. Also on my MOT training 2 years ago we were shown how to use a decelerometer for this purpose.

You may be right and this might of changed but VOSA havent informed any of the testers at my place. It's not something we use every day as its rare that we will get a 4x4 to MOT unless its one of mine!:)

I will look into this. It's not something that I deal with, some service only w/shops use them pre-mot, but they cannot show up faults such as bind, imbalance. I work only on commercial sites (VOSA) including class 7, however the equipment I specialise in is approved for class 2/4/7-HGV-PSV ect. I have a copy of the VOSA bible as a PDF if this is of interest, i've only looked into this for the testing of PSV as they are a nightmare as they cannot be tested laden, whereas a HGV can be loaded or the use of a weight sim.
At least we have addressed the problem of blowing a diff if the tested is unaware of a locked dif. MOT stations for class 2 are generally poorly equipped to cater for 4x4's, As some of my collegues cater for sites such as Kwick-fits/dealerships.

Back to the plot.

Just had a quote from the Powertrax European distributor of £290 +p+p each :laugh: :laugh:

So its off to the USA.

I will give it a couple more days to see if anyone else is "in" then I will send out the requests for monies.

The monies will be held until everyone has pais, if we fail to make the quota then the monies will be returned in full.

Once the order has been placed there will be no going back, so no refunds once the full order has been placed.
