@jimnygoat project was created by cwhelan
Hi all, long time reader of the bigjimny forum but first time posting. I have had my fair share of jimny's over the last few years and think they are a great little jeep and so capable but obviously come with their problems!! I am starting a build thread here to document my history of owning the jeeps and my modifications to them. You can follow my up to date builds on Instagram if you like @jimnygoat. but here I will go back to the start.

My first jimny, red, 2000 reg, rusted boot floor, behind the headlights was good, 4wd not working, deathwobble, but I got it cheap and got hooked on them. Bought as a cheaper alternative to the kubota rtv.

phase 1 of this jimny was now complete, removed the rear seats, removed front and rear bumpers, removed the front anti-rollbar and done some off-roading in it.

then the inevitable happened, tried to get thru a tight gap on an off-camber hill, the rear of the jimny slide down the hill and got the b-pillar stuck in a metal pole, I had no winch and was on out my own so there was no way out only to keep driving and make the damage even worse. going back to the kubota rtv I mentioned earlier I always had an idea where this project was going and this accident reinforced that idea!!

welded the back door back onto the cab.

filled in some of the holes with offcuts from the rear.

passenger side almost complete

view from the inside, jeep is'nt going back on the road so seatbelt mounts were not a concern here.
