Having had the head done on The Boogie, I thought today - Father's Day - I'd better put some road miles on it and give it a run to check everything was ok...

Halfway to my destination taking the windy back roads inland from the coast...

Yup, you guessed it, a quick run to Booker Cash & Carry to pick up a few shortages from our weekly order delivered on Friday...

Good run there, all performing as expected B)

Stopped on Colwyn Bay prom' on the way back for an ice-cream...

Looking the other way...

Then - ironically - popped to see my Mum, on Father's Day... but my parents were divorced when my brother and I were young, so Mum brought (dragged) us up... ;)

Local beach (Pensarn) where Mum lives that you can (sort of) drive onto... (too many people around to scramble over the stones   )

Again. looking the other way...

I then cruised along the coast to Rhyl letting the general pubic admire the buggy, and then headed back inland, popped my purchases in the shop - I'll sort them out tomorrow morning! ;) And then headed south to visit my Dad on Father's Day. and forgot to take a photo which is a shame as he lives in a remote thatched cottage... and the other side of the family were there (My Dad remarried 33 years ago) so I took one of my Dad's other grandchildren "Alfie" 12 for a spin in the Boogie... ;) He loved it!

And then home, to coincide with the missus getting back too (working for a youth theatre group) and we...

... jumped in the Hot-Tub, me with a glass of sparkling Shiraz my "sons" the Ladradors bought for me... ;)

Happy Father's Day to all you Dads out there! :woohoo:

And I'm about to tuck into a roast beef dinner, content that the buggy seems to be sorted! B)

A few local greenlanes on Wednesday before venturing out with some of the other Jimny Jauntz boys next Sunday around the Peak District... ;)

So pleased for you after all your efforts it must be rewarding to be able go further than the end of the street with a degree of confidence. Cooler than a cold thing in a freezer!

The only thing I felt was "wrong" with the buggy on Wednesday was that the front springs were a little too soft, and I felt the extended bump stops hit prematurely a few times unexpectedly... I'm currently running new standard OE quality Supflex front springs with a pair of (my) spring spacers on the top...

So a quick enquiry to Rus at JimnyBits to see if he'd supply me with TWO of the shorter front lift springs as a matched pair, I originally asked about trailmaster springs as I've always thought they are a very conservative +50mm lift, and I don't want castor issues as I am running original radius arms, and although I've got castor bushes fitted (it was a SuperPro kit I had in stock when Bits4Vits folded, so I bought it off myself?!) they are set to push the front axle a little bit forward, rather than in the castor correction positions. Hence requesting the two shorter springs, to avoid castor issues, hopefully!... Rus said there were supply issues from trailmaster though, as Martin has also indicated recently.

So a pair of JimnyBits +2" front lift springs and a pair of rubber spring seats have just been ordered, these will match the ones alreay fiitted to the back axle B)

A great days greenlaning in the Peak District / Derbyshire yesterday...

Here's the blog -  jimnybuggy.com/2021/06/28/the-peak-district/

27 greenlanes,Brett leading, John "Sniper", Kev and me in the buggy...

I got there, got round, and then got home, so I'm obviously as chuffed as a train! B)

See some of you at the BigJimny Meet real soon! I'd better get cleaning and polishing! ;)
