Do the seal removal I remove the race cups first and then I have a small pry bar that goes through the race hole and up to the seal. A quick flick and it's out.

Worked late into the night last night as our cancelled trip to the Peak District this Sunday is now back on again! :woohoo:
Prop back on, diff guard back on, LSD oil in the front axle, free wheel hubs rebuilt, wheels back on...
No photos as was busy / late...
Road test today, and then pack it ready for Sunday

Day-trip yesterday...
First clue -
Got it? -
Where the "God of Gearing" Richard "ROCKWATT" Wattam weaved his magic on my Jimny once again -
Brand-new (i.e. not remanufactured like the Rocklobster gears) 4.87:1 gears - these are 4.87:1 on the low side of the box, and 1.63:1 on the high side, where as my old box / a Rocklobster box is 4.16:1 on the lowside and 1.51:1 on the high side. To adjust the gearing for the 31" Maxxis Trepadors I'm now running on the Jimny -
It's sat in a special cradle mount too -
... with a spine to further hold and reinforce the transfer box casing...
Warning, the following images show scenes of transfer-box porn!
Snug fit with the spine attached!
Awesome gearing, now cruises happily at 70mph on the motorways, and still pulls away to overtake...
The speedo is almost spot on, it currently reads 1mph over with new tread on the tyres!
Chuffed as a Train with it... Just need to go and test it!... Hmmm, we're doing the Machynlleth Loop ("The B&st@rd Lane") in a couple of weeks... LOL
MANY THANKS to Richard "ROCKWATT" Wattam!
Here's his contact details again -
And here's the full blog on my website - www.bits4vits.co.uk/store/regearing-the-...-then-/blog_336.html
