Very nice work has come out really well :)
Did you not use the rear door completely because it was damaged think i can see that in one of the pictures or was it just easier to fab the panel im just about to embark on dong a tray back just wondered what is the best route to take

Thanks for the comments. Yes I used the door but I wrapped a 0.8mm plate over and around the gaps were the clusters were to avoid filling it all. Worked out the easiest option. We're doin another and we thought about any other ways of doin it but I think this is the easiest and best option. I bought another body and worked on that so I could still get out with the lads. It only took me 2months to do the body swap and cage. The body is the hardest part.

Yes i was thinking that the body chop would be the worst to do to be honest i am thinking about bonding the rear door closed with 3M structural adhesive i was the process tech on all of the MClaren SLR builds and basically those cars were totally bonded together with a product called DP 490 so i know what can be acheived with it would be extremely strong without the need for welding the rear door shut.
Then plan is to plasma cut away the middle section move the rear body foward and weld the 2 halfs back to together Sounds easy !!!!!!!!!!!! :( weld over the lights and a good skim of filler to finish it
