Am new to the Jimny world and loving it so far, I have got an O2 2002 and would like to upgrade the stereo, not sure were to find the threads for any advice?
Have put in an old Pioneer I had from my boy racer days. The harness I had for it fitted straight in, how ever the dashboard clock is now permently on, the stereo it's self is on all the time and dose not need the ignition on but the weirdest thing of all is that when I disconnect the aerial cable all of the above go off???
Hope that makes sense, if so has anyone got any idea what is going on, will it be ok to run the clock all the time or will it be to much of a drain on the battery? Not to bothered about having to turn the stereo on & off all the time, maybe I might need to get the correct harness if so will it be the same or maybe mod the one I have "yadder yadder yadder"

Just quickly, do you think that the clock will be alright being on all the time, as in drain the battery or get to hot and start melting wires together?!?!

The aerial will be acting as an earth. It sounds to me like you have the live and ignition live the wrong way around, if I remember correctly on ISO connectors the red is permanent and orange is ignition live, they will both have fuses and the wires can be switched over on the fuse holder.
