A sad demise to a nice looking little car
Though I think most people would want a write-off rather than a repair that could manifest the possibility of some problems in years to come, caused by a historic 'war-wound'

The only way it would make sense is if you are going to keep the car indefinitely then it becomes a matter of what the car is worth to you not what it's market value is.

They have done a repair assessment and have sent it to the other insurer the firm uses original parts so hopefully it will be to expensive to fix and they will go down the right off route.

Yes very lucky Dave, the Mrs could have quite easily been putting the kids in the car or shopping in the boot and would have been a whole different story :sick:
