Hi,

I am looking to reluctantly part ways with my 2024 Jimmy in Blueish Black, first registered in July 2024 it has covered 3,300 miles.

It's a Woodstock Car Design bespoke Jimny, so it has loads of upgrades. The link to the AutoTrader advert is here:

Thanks!
Michael

It was converted by Woodstock cars in to a four seater SZ5, see here

www.woodstockcarsales.co.uk/used/vans/suzuki/jimny

That’s okay, someone can buy it and take the back seats out.

I bought a brand new 69 plate SZ5 on the road 18k.
The SZ4 new was £16,500.
A couple of months ago bought a imported Jimny Sierra (basically a SZ5 with more fancy toys) for 24k on the road.
My point is how does a SZ4 speck 2 seater LCV be worth '£40,000' in anybody's imagination.
I could answer that question myself but I don't want to get banned from this site.

This is the dichotomy of modified cars, does the cost of the modifications reflect in the value of the car at resale? It would argue that it might to a certain extent in certain circumstances to certain buyers. After all a 24 with a correctly registered set of rear seats carried out professionally has a value especially as a UK car. Yes to some people modified cars carry a stigma but so do import ones, or automatic ones or yellow ones or white ones. There's enough space in the car market for everything.

It may not have been re-registered as a car, if you look on the Woodstock website the Jimnys they have say road fund license of £335 per year which I think is the rate for the LCV, not a car and you seem to be able to add seats to a van and keep it registered as a van.

I note that the rear seats don’t split in the middle, but otherwise it looks a good conversion.  I suppose it’s only so expensive because you end up with a boot full of original fitment of LCV parts so you are paying twice for a number of items and a fair amount of extra labour, but you could always sell the old LCV parts.
