Wonder why I do have to log in every 3 or 4 hours.
I'm ticking the box "keep me signed in" and it keeps happening, any ideias, please?

Lambert is correct, it is recommended to keep it low for security reasons.
In addition the number of concurrent open sessions affects:
1. Disk space - the session information is kept in the database and eats the hard disk space
2. Memory space - each session is allocated 128Mb memory, the server has 4Gb memory in total, so lots of sessions staying open eats the memory.
There are definitely performance issues with the forum pages that I am looking into.

I am also seeing very long (10-12 second) delays when accessing a top level forum menu item. I am investigating this.
UPDATE: Its to do with the number of Guests online, so it is session and memory related, Guests are mainly "bots" scanning the site,

On my laptop, the page number display at the bottom left. The current page you are on is almost invisible, the other page numbers display clearly. I was on page 3 here, but it looks like there is only 2 pages.
Edit: it is the same with mobile view as well.
The highlighted page number, seems to have gone back to being almost invisible.
