Its now working for me ok.

Just a couple of checks you can make:

1. From a normal (ie. not mobile phone) browser. Login to the FORUM and look at your forum profile. On the left hand side it will tell you your timezone and the local time, is this correct for you?

2. From the WEBSITE front page, login and a button will appear along the top called "Profile". Check and set your timezone here (for the UK you should select "Europe/London")

can you point to a specific post/thread that causes an issue as, inevitably, it looks fine from here.

Hi Martin
heres one
www.bigjimny.com/index.php/forum/7-jimny...-31-x-10-5-23-wheels
chris

Thanks, inevitably that looks fine here, using both IE8 and Firefox 6.0.2, however I am running at 1376 x 788 screen resolution.

What are your settings? I suspect the pictures are quite large.

Martin

1280 x 1024 - the accounts dept gets old kit  (no problems on the laptop at home) and was fine on the old software
yep the piccies are larger than the screen width - tried doing a screen dump but the mouse powering it must have gone for lunch (IT tells me its a "feature" of the network security)

Is it just me, or are other people getting some funny spellings like for example
Française
for Francaise, or odd signs infront of £ signs?

Also another question, although not really related so excuse me, a lot of people seem to use Tapatalk from Ipads and the like, but what's the advantge. The cost is low but is it worth having?

Yes, there is some issue with the language/locale character set selection that means that symbols do not always show correctly. I think its because the old database and new database are different.

Tapatalk is a matter of preference. As a smartphone displays a web interface you could argue that there is no need for Tapatalk.

Tapatalk present a text based interface, making it easy to read on a phone.

Here is this forum viewed in Tapatalk.

Thanks for that Martin - I can see that for a 'phone its well worth having, but for something like an Ipad no real advantage.
