Fitting vented disks to a Gen3 Jimny

BigJimny_PXL_20201113_183458147

My Gen3 Jimny is so big and heavy it does not stop well. Whilst it does pass the MOT, I think the brakes need sorting so I have updated it to vented disks. Here is a quick video

Fitting a Snorkel to a Gen4 Jimny

BigJimny_WhatsApp-Image-2020-09-18-at-08.16

With the Gen4 being a new Jimny and also being discontinued (hopefully temporary) in Europe, properly designed Snorkels are hard to come by. There are some "traditional" shaped ones appearing on the market from TJM and Chinese suppliers and a tubular one from Australia but only Mongolia and Brazil have snorkels shaped to match the design of the Gen4. The Brazilian ones are made for Suzuki in Brazil so are the "official" snorkel. However, Brazilian trading regulations make them hard to come by using the official channels. I have spent 6 months exploring the official route, with proper payments to Suzuki and proper export and finally got my hands on some. Here is the fitting video!

Fitting a lift kit to a Gen4 Jimny

Resized_IMG_20200504_184546

One of the most common upgrades people want to do to their Jimny is to lift it. This can be for a number of reasons varying from "the look" through to fitting large tyres or replacing a tired suspension. We like the look of a slightly perkier Jimny, not a soaring lift but just enough to make it look a bit more purposeful.

I sell the Trailmaster 50mm lift kit in the BigJimny store which gives that extra lift without going too far. In particular, it does not require the spacers on the front cross member that other kits seem to need.

I have videoed the experience and the videos are below......
