From memory isn't there a white plastic ball thing on the gearbox end of the selector that can go bad? Or am I hallucinating?

There is a White plastic bushing on the ball of the gear shift lever but also rubber bushings. Different between models as R72 and R7me is not the same. I think. Found a few on line but never ordered as there were conflicting or confusing wich ones fit my gearbox.. Sorry.
