That looks like too much fun for one person. Very nice, I'm not jealous. Much.

Drilling out the broken bolts for the ABS wire brackets and re threading take more time than pressing out the bushings. Replacing them with the front bushings I have replaced with caster correcting bushings.

Last post was supposedly the most work on my list of improvements from the MOT garage.
Bushings on rear axle, leaky exhaust joint rear, license plate bulbs, yellow blinker faded to white and fog lights too low.

So i remove the rear bumper to get at the back exhaust.
And there was a bit of rust at the rear lower door hinge I started to scrape and peel and suddenly a hole at the bottom rear corner I can put my fist thru..

Been out with man flu for days now, and eager to get started on the jimny.

One or two evenings should do it I guess.
Hoping to be back on my feet soon.

I was expecting this as I haven't been washing it so often, and have been postponing ripping all the plastic off it, to do the rust job.

Grinding now. Happy that I just bought a cheap air grinder. Had to weld nuts on the stuck bolts, the head was so rusted the tools Just slipped.

Got the welding done and as usual it was way more than it looked like at first glance.

Had a bit of trouble getting it MOT'ed as the rear brakes where weak. could not find anything apparently wrong with them but after cleaning and putting new pads and rubbing and lubing the cylinders it passed.

So now i will pack for the weekends event, an Overlanding festival.
www.norexoverland.no/festival

Will try to take some pictures of other jimnys if any, I know one SJ413K will be there.
mostly arctic trucks with roof tents, but also other more self builds like mine.
Pretty sure my camper trailer will stand out still.
:D

Only one UK participant last year, a vanlifer on his way up the coast to Lofoten.
