use a sammy or 413 front frop for the rear of the jimny
sammy or 413 gearbox to trans box prop
if you want a working speedo you will need to get a gear made that fits behind the rear output flange & a bracket to attach the speedo sensor cus sj has mechanical speedo drive & jimny has electronic speedo
bend the shift lever about a bit

We have restructured our price list recently, making many of our Jimny products much more accesable to budget builders.
Our fitting kit is now only £195 + vat... and that includes your brackets, bushes and speed'o adaptor.
There are also many other kits available... D&G Tuning, Rhino Ray... and a few "shed builders" are also offering parts...
(Sorry Martin if this looks like an ad,I just thought someone should point out that there were actually kits available to buy off the shelf)

To further answer Jasons original question. There is not a lot to be gained from just fitting an SJ box. Clearly it is a step on the path to a full Rocklobster conversion ie. you have one SJ box and you have gone through the process of fitting it. However, in terms of ratio reduction its not a big step.
Standard Jimny T-box:
High: 1.32
Low: 2.145
SJ410 box
High: 1.58
Low: 2.51 - 14% reduction more than Jimny Low Ratio
SJ413 box
High: 1.41
Low: 2.27 - 5% reduction more than Jimny Low Ratio
Rocklobster
Low: 4.16 - 49% reduction more than Jimny Low Ratio

does this mean the front propshaft is still the standard jimny?
