There aren't too many 4-door owners on the forum here yet. So you may be the first here to do this mod. I have no specific info but a couple of general notes from past experience.
With many marques/models, cruise control is fairly straightforward to retrofit -- but I haven't heard of any where you can just add the buttons and go.
But adding the buttons is always the first step, so you're headed the right way.
Often, cruise can be enabled by the dealer technician using the factory diagnostic tool. The problem you may encounter is this: the tech has no idea this option exists. That is because he's never had to use it, and it is probably buried in a submenu somewhere. Unless you can find the documentation for the Suzuki factory diagnostic software online somewhere, you will need to make friends with the dealer tech and get him to spend some of his valuable time looking for this option.
My advice, don't ask the service manager, don't ask the parts man. One day around lunch, go directly to the back door of the service bay and have a chat with the guys. If they agree to spend a few minutes at end of day looking through this, come back with a case of good beer to hand.
And be ready for bad news. I myself would bet that Suz has a way to activate cruise in their software, but it is not a sure thing.
As to additional hardware that may be needed, good news there, it is not likely you'll require anything else. The only thing I can think of that would possibly be needed would be another clockspring, but as far as I know there is only one for all Jimnys outside Japan. One way to check this is to go to the parts desk with two VINs in hand: one for your car and one for a car that you know has cruise (say from the dealer's lot). If both VINs have the same part number for the clockspring, you are in business.
There is one other lister here who is very conversant with non-UK/non-EU Jimny parts, we'll see if he weighs in.
