I've seen people use the 12V plug in the dash as an accessory trigger.
I had a loom made for my spot light switch which included an illumination feed. I believe they tested the wires to determine what was what.
Sorry I don't have any better info.

Hi Crash, where did you get the switch from? I managed to get THIS ONE it blue illumination, I have been meaning to take it apart and see if I can swap it to amber LED to match OEM.

They are Toyota short switches. Should be able to find them closer to you than Australia where I got mine.
You choose a base and a cap to suit what you like.

Thanks every one

I do like the look of those switches that will be a mod im going to do later im looking at an AFN loopless bar and I would put 2 x 7" led spots on the front.

Off topoic I guess but back to it after a scuseesful day of installing dynomat in the doors and body and upgradeing the speakers while I was in there. I used the pioneer 5.25" 3 way speakers unfornatley thse were not a direct swap like the 2 ways but not so bad to install bit of custom work with some MDF and waterproofing.

Tomorrow I any doing to try and install my under seat sub and my narva 12 was fused distrbution block this has 6 x power feeds and 6 x acc feeds and 12 earths. this is why I was looking for the ACC feed Anyway i will get the meter out tomorrow and check out what is under there. Might take photos of this one could be handy for people wanting to install a 2way or somthing after market that requires power.

Hi there, I don't suppose you remember what wire you tapped into for the Illumination?

Trying to wire up a spot light switch right next to my other OEM switches, didn't wont to have to buy a power probe if I didn't have to!

Cheers :-)

I'm away for the week without my Jimny. I can look when I get back if someone else doesn't come up with an answer.

Historically, Suzuki has used red/yellow (red with yellow stripe) for dash illumination on most vehicles.

Wicked, that's good to know. I will try and work out how to get in behind there and have a look at the weekend. Cheers
