Hello
How far back can the driver's seat be moved back? Or should I just take the front seats out and sit in the back?
Considering buying my first Jimny soon and had a ride out in one today - all good (with me being 6ft 4ins tall), but I would like to move the seat back a few inches. Will be taking out the rear seats anyway.
Cheers
Pete

Hello Pete.
On mine I moved the seat back 2" and up 50mm. You don't have to have the actual seat adjuster right back. On some motors the seats are angled so as they go back you get lower. So having the seat adjusted forward overcomes that. The lift made it easier to fabricate brackets from square tube and the extra seat height made it more comfortable though I don't know what headroom you would have with your height. I am 6'1" but most of that is because of long legs which brings me to the point...............with a bit of lift my little body is better placed.

I purchased the spacers, which arrived today and they work a treat! Took about an hour to fit (bit awkward to get to the bolts, so I fitted the doorside spacer to the seat first). Lots of leg room now.
Cheers
