Loving the mini body on the Jimny chassis approach!!

A mini estate big foot thing would looks awesome - that'd surprise the mot guys if I rocked up with a mini body attached for the retest!!! If i left the chassis, engine and running gear as standard and only changed what was necessary to mount a new body on the chassis, would I need to get it a full monty test and a Q reg rather than just a normal mot?

Thank you everyone for posting *(this is my most replied post!!)

I'm trying to meet up with a welding friend of a friend to see what he thinks about repairs (cost, if and when he could do it)
and what'd he think about making a cradle to join jimny to a mini body!!

It has been done with a 2cv and it has a completely flat floor and all the panels just unbolt.
It also has 15" wheels as standard so the proportions look better.

You'd have to take advice on the SVA thing as the rules keep changing but as I understand it if you keep the chassis /engine/running gear then it doesn't need one but don't quote me on that lol

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)
