Project finished.

Today i finished this project.
I could choose between led and a normal bulb of 12 volt. ( we have them at work )
So i choose for the normal bulb.

At the photo's you could see what i did....and it works!
Sorry for the last photo's, difficult to take that-one with the camera.

so project ends. :)

Next weekend I install my camera, i let you know!

Hi all,

This is a little bit old topic, but I think this is still the best place to ask about the dashlights

I recently bought Jimny (model 2007) and now I noticed that my 'hazard light switch' and 'rear screen dimister / mirror heater switch' lights (bulbs?) are broken. I read some old topics etc. and I think that at least there is a replaceable bulb (I think it is T3 or something) in the side of hazard light switch. Does anyone have any better knowledge about the bulb, fe. dimensions (diameter)? Or photo of bulb? Or any advice for the replacement?

My other question is concerning the rear screen dimister (heater) switch, does anyone know is there replaceable bulb at all? Or is there any easy way to fix the light? I could not find any topics or photos concerning this heater switch light/bulb fixing.

I'll open the centre console in the next weekend (found the instructions, thanks) and check the switches, but I would really appreciate all the advices I can get concerning this job.

BR,
Kari

Sorry for the bump, but which bulb(s) do I need in order to replace the broken bulbs in:
1. heater control
2. 4WD buttons

its a 2006 jimny VVT. same as the topic author has, it seems that the links in the topic are not accurate.
can someone post the correct link for the above bulbs or just write the bulb model needed?
I dont want to disassemble the entire thing just to find out I'm missing the correct bulb..
thanks!!

I'm not too sure about the heater controls, however I'll have a look tomorrow and see what size they are.

As for the 4WD controls, they take these: www.maplin.co.uk/p/coloured-subminiature-bulbs-red-pg78k

I tried LEDs first before reading the thread again when they wouldn't work, I'm assuming it was something to do with them not getting enough power

I looked on eBay for clear submini. bulbs but had no luck.

Heater controls take two T5 bulbs. Originals have red silicone caps over them, but I threw them away. Now it's white and a lot brighter.
