Killer wobble Everything is shaking was created by Dutchjimny
hi all,

I know what the deathwobble is around 70kmh but today the death wobble turned into something different i guess.. i was driving 60kmh when the car started shaking the steeringwheel shaked and the gearknob shaked harder than ever i could only brake and drive slow..

The car is an 2000 jimny with the Ora 3" Liftkit

Please help!

Have a close look at all the leading arm bushes, and the track rod ends.

Panhard bushes is my best guess, I had the captive nut on the axle (that the panhard rod bolts to) strip its thread, everything looked fine but I couldnt get faster than 25mph.

I had a similar experience driving along the m62 last yr. I tried ages to sort it changed wheels tyres. My motor has k.a.p springs ect so I contacted darren at k.a.p who knew straight away it was my pan rod bushes so i would start their as i,m sure their all pretty much the same.

I had this exact problem with my KAP panhard rod bushes. The metal collars inside the bushes were too long so the actual bush wasn't doing anything and causing undriveable death wobble. I cut the collars down, tightened everything up and this cured the problem.

Hi, mate!

I have the same problem. Presently, I am changing king pin bearings for both front wheel and also I am going to fit steering damper. I will let you know, what is the result. In my opinion it is not good idea to remove anti roll bar.

were going to rotate the swivels 3deg. To see if it cures the woble.. To line out the kingpins correctly..

Chjeck your panhard rod. This happened to me and it was the panhard rod eye that had actually cracked at the top where you can't see it unless you remove it from the vehicle. This allowed the eye to stretch and eventually break. The bush was fine.

we checked the panhards rose joints and they were fine.. Actually everything was fine.. Even the tierod ends and the bushes changed the tires for factory steelys and no difference at all.. Keep you guys posted!
