Hi,
I want to install a rear differential lock for my 2006 Jimny. As my Jimny is used for on-road driving by my daughter which is not an experience driver, I am avoiding the automatic lockright diff lock.

I found in the internet a Chinese company that manufacture air locker similar to the ARB RD88 lockers, it is actually looks as a copy of ARB and they even use the ARB part number.

Is any of you have experience with this product?

Thanks

As I am not from the UK I prefer to have the Chinese price, I already asked for quotation.
How long it works on the landcruiser?
Thanks

Is a Chinese copy of anything a good idea? Chinese copy is usually associated with the words "counterfeit" and "rip off"!!

On the 9th day he swapped it for a Jimny.

it has been there for 2x trophy. he broke his axel and the locker still works.
i know of 2 nissan patrol gr y 60 with theese lockers. they have been using them for a year aprox. seems to work fine.

i would by one if they made them to the front axle.

I have seen these arb rip-offs and I have seen the ARB comparison on you tube and to be quite frank I think that the arb video seems to be abit miss leading. as at 3.32 you can see the smudge affect that covers the the cracked half shaft when testing the copy. These forces way exceed the forces generated off road..

But as for longevity I would learn towards the original arb but I may change my mind if more good reports come regarding the chinese copy.
The air pump from china looks better built.
ARB does have a good track record and the prices reflect that

personally i'd save up and get an arb instead. i see plenty of Chinese rubbish coming into work (tool maker) we get given jobs to repair and make the tools work. and seeing the quality of the stuff we get i'd never go for a cheap Chinese thing even though its cheaper. looking at the video the arb's gears are machined and the other ones are cast. i don't know what materials are used but this could suggest that the arb ones uses a higher grade better, stronger material. just my thoughts anyway
