What they need to do is give us one that can tow properly like 2000kg properly that would be way more useful.

I think a 5 door will look out of proportion?

Would be nice to be a 2 seater with no rear windows but I cannot see that happening.

Interested in seeing what power unit it has. Stretching it ruins the proportions, and seems to go against the whole ethos of what a Jimny is meant to be, once it gets bigger you might as well go the whole hog and buy a Grenadier or Defender.

Its an Indian market variant assembled by Maruti, I cannot see other markets getting it apart from some asian countries and perhaps Australia.
Its a simple stretch so the engine and drive train is the same.
The only mystery is that the prototype mule pictures are in Austria which is an unusual place to test a vehicle not destined for the EU market

In Graz/Austria there is a big car development hub with focus on 4x4. Also all the Gs are built in Graz. Could easily be that Magna got a development contract. Or maybe there is a development for something else and just the body is used because it was available.

Aussie site suggesting it might be a hybrid as "it drove away without any noise", but that would need to be a 'proper' hybrid rather than the mild setups in the Ignis et al.

Need far more space to fit a full hybrid system, so a 5 door would make sense
