Leaving battery out of Jimny - problems?

Got a flat battery in my Jimny (2000 hard top). I need to take it out, either to replace it or to put it on a battery conditioner. If I take it out of the car for 24 - 48 hours, will I cause problems when I put it (or a new battery) back in? I'd guess not, as the immobiliser must be a fairly ancient design, and hopefully not too sensitive to loss of power...?
The battery has gone fully flat before, and the car seemed to work as normal when I got it going again (after a few hours), but just thought I'd check if leaving it longer without a battery might cause problems?
Many thanks.

I don't mind doing that - I just don't want the immobilliser to lose its settings, or the ECU to reset, or anything like that!
Cheers.

There should be no problem but I know where your coming from with modern micro elecetrickery when it gets a few years old but the Jap stuff is usually pretty good.

OK, I'll give it a go, and see what happens.
Cheers.

I've used that sort of thing on some of my motors, at the very least it saves having to reset radios or whatever.

Mine has an Optimate connector (fused) that dangles out of the bonnet shut line by the hinge, and has a conditioner connected as I type, currently the voltage is 13.78, been on since I got home from Work at about 7pm last night.
Not too bad as there are 2 extensions between the conditioner (in the shed) and the car (on the drive).
I just have to disconnect the plug, roll up the lead and hide it in a bush by the front door when I drive off.
If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there
