I did what Suzuki should have done in the first place, tinted the load area windows. Why a commercial would have been built with clear glass is a complete mystery.
Went for 20% tint as this is what is on the original SZ5 as standard. 5% would have been too dark.

All the car to van conversions I have seen have the rear windows removed and substituted with steel sheet spot welded into position.

Leviathan is opaque vinyl on factory glass as was Dreadnaught because these types of conversion are usually done by or on behalf of the importers or dealers because of the low unit sales. Things like a fiesta or corsa van are usually sheet metal because the unit sales will warrant the factory tooling.

Some big changes happening at the moment.
All the plastic body trim has come off so I can address the persistent rust issues.
After speaking with Keith, I've got a full set of his unique arches on the way to replace the stock trim. So, the past few days I've been filling the holes on the door and fixing some bad rust on the front wings (where they connect to the body at the bottom).
Also removing the old tin from the rear arches which was on its last legs:
Big thanks to Keith for the ongoing support and silly questions!

Progress continues with the overhaul of the Jimny. The rear of the car was cut away to take out all the rust and silicon that had been holding it together (thanks KAP Suzuki for the bodge job!).
This left me with a slightly smaller back end and two body mounts to re-create. I decided to do away with the small jack holding area in the boot despite it not being in bad condition at all (easier for my novice welding skills!). Plenty of rust to get to grips with too, so I made a start of chipping it away...
Keith sent over a set of his arches for me to trim and install. 4x arches, bonnet vents, and a new rear bumper will be installed shortly!
All the plastic trim has been removed now, and I had a nice time welding small squares and circles of metal into the holes left on the side of the car. Thankfully, Raptor paint should hide the bad bits of filler that I didn't do such a good job of at sanding!
Todays job...shape the front wheel arches!
