That is rear discs brakes for you, nothing but trouble. I find now that discs need replacing with pads, or more frequently if you let the vehicle stand for a while.
If I park up my other vehicle for any length of time, I don't apply the hand brake, just leave it in gear, otherwise the rear brakes stick, it eats discs, I did the last lot myself and saved a few quid.

Good to know about the rear disks and the handbrake. I'm able to park it without the handbrake on (live and go to work on flat ground)...so that's what I'll start and do!
