Much as I'd like a KAM or ARB locker that i can switch off for sideslopes, i have a Lockright, cant fault it, gets it so much further than similar cars without a locker, best £160 ever spent, save the rest of the cash for other toys! If the jimny was a daily driver I'd probably not enjoy the lockright so much, lots of clicking and banging on bends, pulling out of junctions etc. fantastic off road though.

Hmmm .. some nice bits of kit ..

To be honest the money isnt really an issue .. for me, time is my enemy .. I travel a lot with my job, so its easier to give the car to someone, say .. do it .. here is the cash..

I like the sound of the lockrite, and reduced gearing is I think essential ( I just donot have the time to go looking for donor boxes )

fair enough ooky :)
in that case you'll be better of buying a complete kit from either off road armoury or rob storr, which includes the box and fitting kit. will obviously cost more than a DIY job but a much easier option.
i dont know of anyone else that supplies a complete bolt on kit other than these 2, anyone ?

Mine have both been a bolt on job from Rob Storr, but Martin seemed to have a lot more trouble fitting his ORA one. You need to give Rob Storr a 413 transfer case and your jimny props, he then modifies the props and the case and gives you new mounts and speedo adaptor, tbh i was wondering where the money was in the ORA kit as it uses sj props with a spacer and a front jimny prop.

as far as i'm aware rob storr does the same, you get a front jimny prop and SJ rear prop with the kit as the rear SJ prop is better than the jimny's

Both my Rob Storr kits have had 3 custom made props and Ive had to exchange my Jimny props. He may have changed things though.... i bought my first one about 5 years ago, and the one i have now might be 7 years old at a guess.
