You say this is your first welding project? Looks very good to me
What does it weigh? I made one for my car and I ended up chopping most of the back of the box section out to reduce weight and drilled large holes in the underneath sections for drainage and further weight reduction. It still is ridiculously heavy, but I like it

I’ve put the bumper on a scale today, it’s 28kg’s without any fixtures.
So the end total weight will be around 30-31kg’s
I was hoping for less than 50kg, so to me it’s fine.
I do want to cut the weight elsewhere if I can.

I was thinking about making a rear bumper as well, maybe I should make a more beefier design which is also about 28kg’s to get the balance just right.
Also I forgot to mention the front mounting plate, I did not weigh it before welding it on the frame, but it’s about 3-5kg’s.

If you take more weight away further back it will only increase the effect of the weight at the front. It's not too much of a problem but it will make the car understeer more and tend to be harder to turn into a corner..i would really see if you could add a little more weight to the back to try and get the balance back and make it more neutral. A Jimny is light enough at the back to start with.
That is good advise... I have added loads of weight up front and the back has been stripped in comparison. Best excuse to wack on a back metal bumper if you ask me! Even it out a bit.
