I'm reluctant to spend money guessing is the only thing. I'd be much happier with a code!

Totally with you on that!

I reset mine several times by simply disconnecting the battery, but each time I reset it, it would remain off for shorter periods. It finally started to come back on very quickly - within a mile or so of setting off.
I eventually gave in and cx'd the damned thing

What's CX? I originally thought you meant changed but now I'm not so sure?

Mines comes back right away sadly

Not much progress to report. I've been having my head nipped about the time spent on the Jimny so had to leave it alone a few days :p

I did get all the tail lights working! All electronics now good other than potentially that obd. I'm borrowing a proper reader on Monday so will take it from there.

Kingpin bearings have arrived and I'll order a CV tomorrow and fit it all next weekend if time and weather suits.

Since all my welding (that I know is needed anyway) is done and all my electrical gremlins (I believe) sorted I was able to pop the interior back in which made it feel like a car again :)

I also sent away the forms to get the V5 and declare it sorn. I decided to be brave and register the colour as green ...

Here's my daughter (the wee one) and the neighbors kid getting their first seat in the Jimny. My daughter peed on the driver's seat about 4 minutes after I fitted it ...

Can I make a suggestion?

Take all the interior back out including the dashboard and fit 4 plastic bucket seats and a roll cage and give your little one the coolest school run car in the catchment?

2 of 4 kingpin bearings replaced today. Don't want to curse it but very pleasantly surprised with the lack of seized nuts and bolts on this thing! (So far).

The calliper pins must be made of a different metal though as they're seized solid. Not a surprise given the state of the outer disc.

I'll come back to that after it's soaked for a few days. If the weather is ok I'll crack on with the other side tomorrow :)

What is with the Re:Re:Re:Re?
I'm 48, I don't understand. :)

Edit: Aha, seems I managed to remove them from the topic :)

Unstuck bolts could be a sign that there have been some servicing done to it..
