I haven't joined GLASS yet, so can't get access to Streetwise.

What happens if you add in the 'Restricted Byways', does that give you the blue routes?

In my area there a lot of unclassified lanes that are not BOATs, some of them the Google Streetview car has been down, just hover the Strretview man over the area to show all the roads which have been driven.

I know what you mean about some of the BOATs not been driveable, I have seen a couple with an old gate and large ditch at the end that would stop almost everyone from accessing it.

However, if there is a sign to say Bridleway, but it is a Byway Open to All Traffic, it is on the Definitive list and there is no TRO, then the sign is wrong, that should be raised with the traffic department of the local council.

Here is a sign at the end of a BOAT in my area, I have never noticed a finger post that says Public Byway before.

Restricted Byways have no vehicular access rights :( They were mostly RUPPs (Road Used as a Public Path) that we re-classified and lost under the NERC (Natural Environment and Rural Communities) Act of 2006.

It's a minefield :(

I've been waiting four weeks for an answer to such a query... a right of way marked on GLASS's Trailwise resource as a UCR with ORPA dots, maintained at the public expense according to their own web based mapping system, and on the ground it has bridleway signs both ends?... :(

They'll blame covid for the fact they can't answer an email of course...

This blog shows that one above and a few others -  jimnybuggy.com/2021/06/23/first-wednesday-wander/

And the BOAT into the field with no other exit is in this one -  jimnybuggy.com/2021/07/18/project-116-18-07-21/

It certainly is, here is the sign to look out for...

Now why doesn't it surprise me that your local council isn't interested in changing the 'Bridleway' sign, Covid is a great excuse for them but at the end of the day it comes down to staffing and they probably just don't care.

Route planned for Sunday -

A leisurely wander around the North Wales coast, some old favourites, some new ones to go and have a look at and hopefully drive...
It's a bit of a personal route to further 'Project 116.

Between NERC and the Dale's NP there are so few good lanes left around here that after a short while you are doing the same ones over and over and you get bored. Either that or you spend a fortune on petrol finding new ones. You are lucky to have such variety!

Yes, very lucky!

And when I’ve finished Project-116 I’ll just have to pick an adjacent map sheet to investigate and explore! B)

I can't remember where she was from just now but I've spoken to a research biologist who had done a study on the ecosystems of hedgerows. Turns out that two separate hedgerows either side of a lane are indeed unique systems but when 2 are allowed to merge into a bigger unit they lose diversity. So by driving down there and repeatedly you will over time increase biodiversity. You are doing nature a favour, good man!
