I think that the ABS would still work on the rear if Disc were fitted, as there is a gizmo that goes into the axle
Jalapeño, IISY?

The polybush is from your shop?
And an advise, try to see if you can fit a balljoint to the arms bush position, at the chassis side of the arm.
Mach way better articulation. I have in mine and 3 years now works perfect.
And a ''stupid'' question about breaks,
if we convert the rear breaks from drums to disk's the abs is no longer engaged, correct?
I want to go for rear full foat axleshafts and disk break convertion but i dont't want to lose abs.
With fedima cross tyres has saved me a lot from accidents.
Yes, poly bushes came from stock... I did pay for them though
Hmm, yes, presume the ABS would still work with disks on the back?... someone more knowledgeable will be along soon...

yes your right ABS will still work on rear disc conversion, as the abs pickup ring is on the bearing retainer thats inside the axle

Thanks Karl
Bit more today...
ORA Front Radius Arms, JimnyBits adjustable panhard rod...
Installed with just a bit of fiddling to get the bolt through the guard, spacer washer, chassis mount, bush sleeve, chassis mount, spacer washer, guard... soon sorted!
Offside with pipes again running down the girder-like ORA radius arms
Panhard rod in (with BigJimny bolts)
+3" JimnyBits Springs, +3" ProComp ES1000s, bolts, sugar-free Relentless to keep me going!
Tyres on, stolen from the Zukhini Vitara, with many thanks from Brett 'Maverick' on here who came to help... thanks matey!
Inner plastic wings need trimming when I work out where the ORA winch bumper will sit...
The whole purpose of today... get the suspension on enough to get the Jimny into the garage so that I can work on it in all weathers...
More soon!

So, today (Bank Holiday Monday, I had a few hours off... I spent yesterday - Sunday - lazing around and recouperating ), I started fitting the ORA front winch bumper...
A few photos here, more in my own blog.
Fitting the brackets -
Test fit of the bumper -
Winch on the back of the bumper -
Fits! JUST!
Hmmm, a bit too tight -
So took some more metal off -
Flipped the free-spool over -
Getting there! -
Wiring next, and a dashboard control switch...

My rocklobster box came back from the wizard of all things gearing today, many thanks to Redacted !
It went off as I mentioned to Rich that the bolts didn't fit through the cradles holes, apparently sometime in it's life it's been drilled and re-tapped to 10mm, whereas the case should have 8mm mounting holes... Not happy with this, Rich took it back - as he rightly said, it would have weakened the box's mounts - and changed half the case for me...
While it was there... I asked him to fit my new speedo ring (27 teeth, should be right with my 235/75s I hope) and the pickup mount, and change one of the flanges for me which had the wrong bolt hole pattern (PCD)...
And, errr... hee hee, change the internal selectors so that I can have two-wheel-drive-low when needed Here's the shift pattern etched into the top of the box...
What a STAR! Cheers Rich... err - "Rockwatt"
To remind me... will put a copy on my dashboard eventually...
