Hi all, I'm new to this forum and new to driving.

My jimny is my first car and i love it. I've taken it off road a couple of times and got it stuck once:unsure: . Its stock at the moment but ive got it booked in for a 40mm lift and a snorkel and axel breathers are on the way.

Welcome :) - not the usual first car choice, I always went for hot hatch's lol
Nice motors tho, seem easy to work on, and theres such a wealth of knowlege here and on various other sites whatever goes wrong....its already happened to someone else and they have documented it :)

Anyhow, good luck, is the 40mm lift just repositioners/spring spacers or a body lift etc?
Im still trying to convince the wife a lift is a good idea :(

Bert

Cheers guys, there seems to bemore jimny lovers in the UK than here in aus. Yeah im kinda right in the middle of the floods at the moment. Im on the sunshine coast so theres been no terrible flooding but a few roads cut and was stranded for a day or two. New shocks and coil springs for my lift. Good thing I'm finding with the Jimny is that the modifications are much cheaper than most cars which is great.

Fancy seeing another Queenslander. Glad you weren't affected by the floods. I'm in Brisbane and luckily well away from the river so only flash flooding here.
Apart from the droughts and floods Queensland is a great place to own a 4WD and the most fun 4WDing can be found in a Jimny.

Welcome!! I have a subscription to Aussie mag 4WD Action - the Offroading over there is amazing! Fraser Island, the Kimberleys, the Sampson Desert, Brindabella Ranges - really jealous of the places you get to play around in.
