My Gen 3

Hi all, got this Gen 3 from my father in the summer. I have had it ceramic coated, fitted a Black Raptor steering damper, Dueller all terains and Solar Plexius window tints. 

That's lovely. It's exactly like mine but different!

That's shinier than a very shiny thing.

Looks nice did you consider ceramic coat under the plastics or just what you can see 

The coating was only applied to what you see. They did remove the spare wheel carrier before starting. I've also been under the car and sprayed Lanoguard after sorting out a few areas with Bilt Hamber hydrate 80.

That is amazing, was the paint fairly shiny before the ceramic coat or did the ceramic lift the shine as it sealed the surface?

I have to admit I had to look it up as I didn't know what it was. Seems Autoglym and others do a product.

The paint was not great and needed a lot of machine polishing. I think the ceramic coating just seals the paint. The car has never been garaged and only washed a few times every year. With all the rain and the amount of run off from the fields it slides off. I had a very good deal from the local detailer and they got rid of many small scratches. Its not that clean now though, it could do with a wash.

I might get some of the Autoglym Ceramic and give it a try. I do have some Autoglym detailing spray but forgotten what it is.

I bought the Autoglym Ceramic (20% off at Euro Car Parts) and washed my Jimny and other car on Saturday and applied the ceramic coat to the Jimny Sat afternoon and then my other car Sunday morning.

I also bought the Autoglym Rapid Glass, the muck that came off both the outside and inside took some believing, but what a difference.

Sadly no pictures it started raining fairly hard after I had finished but what a great shine and protective coat the ceramic is. The rain just went in to large drops rather like mercury does and just shot off any sloping surface, hopefully the muck and mud will do the same.

I keep hoping to wash mine. Its been a while since I last washed it but its been raining every time I've been off. I'm just glad I have a Jimny with all the local flooding in my area. It is nice to see the beads off water roll around the bonnet.
