Finally finished the passenger side deck that go over the passenger seat. This also can be used with seat completely removed. The deck is exactly the same hight as back deck.
It is fastened to front seat bolts
The back is fastened to to back deck part.
All points can be fastened / loosened by hand. No bolts nuts that require spanners.
By removing the seat completely you suddenly add a lot of space for overlanding.
Yes I am lone traveler.
(Yes the door side post still need to be powder coated..)

Best of all is you can have a proper sleep inside if you have to. Nice and flat. Tested and is comfortable for my length. Sure will be a tight fit for the bigger South Africans.

Forward like quick few years. I am busy redoing the deck in stainless steel now that i learned some CAD.
Same prInciple.
-Use only jimny standard bolt on points.
-Ease of assembly. No drilling... just bolts and nuts.
-Use full area under deck including jack area.
-Ease of access from both back, top back as well as from behind front chairs.
Assemble, put in jimny. Bolt fasten. Add top deck with Pull down toggle latches. 2 top sections to enhance assesability. See photos.
Deck is about 10cm above back door bottom lip but in deep section about 19cm. Front behind seats 16cm.
A lot of space to keep tools recovery gear and a lot more safe and away from prying eyes especially in our lovely country.
Still in the metal. Powder coating happen next week.
