Do you need spacers?

I have +30mm bulldog spacers which seem pretty good. With 215/75r15 it needed trimming front arches only a bit . with 235/75r15 its catching on the front body mount under hard cornering only so not bad, that plus the 5.5" lift :-)

Thanks Riccy,

Is the Jimny was lifted already when you fitted the spacers with the 215/75s?

When i first got the spacers it was with 2" trailmaster lift kit and 2" body lift but on the 215/75 tyres.

I think it might mean a bit of trimming of the front and back of the front wheel arches. never had a problem with the back (even with 235 tyres on 8" rims)

A side note is that you should expect a fair increase in spray and muck up the sides...

Also search a member called Ant0 (i think), who has spacers on his more standard jimny ;-)

I got my MOT done yesterday. Quite happy with it. Inspector told me, car is mint and only front body mounts need some corrosion prevention, because surface rust started to show on them.

Any suggestion on this one? How do I treat them? Clean off the rust and paint it down or treat it with waxoyl?

clean em up and paint on some buzzweld RCP (rust control primer) then CIO (chassis in one top coat). They do an aerosol spray cavity wax which is good for hard to reach places also.

While your at it take the headlights out and check behind them as thats usually a bad spot ;-)
