Correct, there is no problem with the hubs being locked all the time.

Fitted up my snorkel today. Was worried when I started the car again I had a check engine light but then I realised I forgot to plug the O2 sensor back in lol. Nice induction note but there is a slight whistle/hum at idle. Ah well you get what you pay for eh!
Also took my roofrack off for a lick of paint and light bar mounts.
Took rear seats out and started taking measurements. Was thinking I could possibly take the side plastics off to give more room? The only downside I could think of was road noise.
Planning on getting new tyres soon (thank god) I'm looking at Kumho KL71s, reasonably cheap and good tyre from what I've heard?

Sounds like you have been busy
If you taking all the rear seats etc out, get some good sound proofing and cover as much as you can

that would be a good idea. Went and bought the materials for my rear draws yesterday, now just need some time to make them! Was thinking I could incorporate my 12V compressor and dual batteries into the draws as well as the sound system. Ill need to remeasure and see if i have enough room
Considering making a roof console with left over ply. I found this online but I'm not sure how id go mounting it to the roof, may need a nutsert tool. I suspect it would have to be very low profile for me not to hit my head on it lol
went for a flex pose yesterday, not too bad for stock i was actually surprised!

Did some more work on the jim yesterday.
Whacked some 6x9s in the back door because I got so bloody sick of the crappy front speakers! surprisingly good sound now and wasn't too difficult to install.
Unfortunately on a recent trip to Queensland I got my surfboard stolen which set me back a bit over 1K to buy a new one This money would have gone towards draws and new tyres so now I can't afford anything so I'm just going to put a flat floor in for the moment and use storage tubs like these for all my tools and things
I also fixed my vacuum lines for the hubs so now they work again. Will go manual hubs eventually but cannot afford at the moment. They dramatically affected my fuel efficiency though, I'm now getting at least 50ks more per tank.

Been doing lots on the Jim.
Finally got new tyres! Got jumbo KL71s in 215/75R15. Still small but does the job for now!
Installed a UHF radio & antenna
Also got manual hubs because I got sick of the stupid vac hubs constantly failing on me.
On the weekend we went up to walhalla in the victorian high country for a quick getaway. It was my first time properly wheeling in the jim and it went amazingly! This car continues to astound me with it's levels of capabilities.

Jimny sub!
All in all an amazing weekend in the high country

Hi mate. I have been thinking of getting the KL71's in the same size (215/75/15)
I have had comments from others saying that they are a little smaller than published size?
Could you do me a favour and measure how tall yours are? My current tyres are 28"
and I am told these are about the same. I would like it confirmed before I go and buy a set.
Also how are you finding them on and off road?

I do fancy a set but open to other suggestions.
I still will need a mud tyre but something a little less aggressive than I have at the moment.
