Ah, I actually saw those wheels not long after posting that, they really set off the look of the vehicle, just enough poke for a nice 'stance' and just the right size to match the arches, and only a 2.9% gearing offset.

I'm going to see a dark green '01 Jim through the week, think I'll put the same wheel/tyre setup on it

Note that with the -30 offset wheels you'll need a lift to avoid hitting the arches. Even with a 1.5" lift my front tyres slightly caught the front arch liners in reverse only - a slight trim (about 5mm) of lower liner and bumper and all fine now. Mind you with the year you're going for the bumper should be fine with no trimming but you'll still need a lift with the offsets.

Ah thats good to know, hoping to do a 2" suspension lift at some point when I can muster the currency, good excuse to refresh ~100k mile old shocks.

Not updated here for a while.
Got my roof lights wired up and working and mounted the diy switchbox pictured earlier, so that's done.

A photo as a reminder of what to expect with 30 offset if you don't fit the wee rubber fender extender trims....

Oh i couldn't cope with that, mine might be covered in bramble rash but wearing half a field up the side would send me mad. Good colour underneath the muck though.
