Continuing my spamming, some pics from my latest Jimny adventure with a very good friend from Denmark. Two weeks after the danish meet we met up at his cabin in Norway for a week of day trips around in the mountain and fjord roads.
Still many of these smaller roads are closed from flooding, this road was washed out.
Not sure if I was on the actual road anymore here so had to stop. Offroading is not allowed and if the road is snowed in too much it is considered offroad so this was as far as we could get. But this place will be revisited later in the year.
By the Sognefjord.
Chilling at 1380m
The old bridge now has some of the water on top instead of below. So we did not try to pass.
Offroading is not allowed but there is actually asfalt here, just a bit overgrown.
Chilling at 1800m
last day, barbecue some bangers at a lake beach in the mountains.
After sending these pics to my friends during most of May I got questions if i was out of work
I have the possibility to save up time and take time off with pay so the first two weeks in Denmark was just flexing and this last week was one of my 5 weeks of holiday. still four weeks to do so there will be time for more adventures planned later in the season.

Last weekend a small trip around the local area.
Started out in our favourite local spot as we got off late on Friday.
Found a spot for a later visit perhaps. The weather was a bit much and the locals where a bit nosy so we left. Cows.
Exploring an old mountain road left from a Hydro electric construction site.
This is a relief valve tunnel so staying there is really stupid
Found a new local spot at a small beach straight at the fjord but forgot to take pics as usual.

It sure is, one fjord out west from the more famous Geirangerfjord. But more quiet and without all the mass tourism wich ruins the place for me in the high season.
The Hjørundfjord is where I grew up, 20 minutes with a boat out from where we camped.
Was there in march too.

Frozen shaft for rear wheel bearing change. Dipping the rear half shaft in liquid nitrogen, heated the ABS ring and then it just slides on.

Using an industrial gearbox facility does give you a slight head start in this respect. I wouldn't even begin to know where I could get some liquid nitrogen from!

different jobs, different advantages. According to norwegian tax laws I actually should pay tax for the benefit of having these possibilites.
I made a new bracket for my 410 rear axle too last weekend. I could drill a 15mm hole thru 3mm steel at home I guess but much easier down in the shop at work.
Being a farmer has its benefits too Lambert?

Not sweden yet.
Drove thru a valley I haven't for years today, Imsdalen. long winding single line gravel. Forgot to top up the fuel so had to turn back and lost almost an hour. Too far between the pumps in the Mountains.
Camp today half an hour from the border in Finnskog

Camp 4 1194km in a swedish forest South of the two big lakes. Picked up a transfer case today to be used as a spare while working on the low geared one.
Spotted a daily SJ413
