If on a budget I would recomend remoulds. Lots of people might bag them out but there are a lot of them on 4wd vehicles. I have a set on my vehicle and they seem to drive just fine.

Yeah, what 4wheelers said!
Unless you are going to be doing super high road mileage, remoulds are a good (and very popular) choice for the off road vehicle. There's a wide choice if you look online (don't go asking down at Kwikfit!), many manufacturers just have the same copy tread patterns, look at Marix, Insa Turbo, Recip, Malatesta - these are just some that come to mind
Will save you a stack of money and you won't be quite as upset when you rip the side out of one on some harsh terrain

When i was looking though the remoulds wernt that much cheaper than some branded new tyres around the 50-60 quid mark. 70 for hankooks which look great!

Yeah, they're certainly not as cheap as they used to be but can still represent quite a saving.
I've got KL71s on the Jimny which are new tyres, but on the monterey which runs much bigger tyres and sees more action, I went with Marix Pumas, they're fairly extreme and cost around £20-25 per tyre less than KL71s - when fitting out 5 rims it costs considerably less.
The other side is that on road remoulds tend to wear quicker. I had some Colway ATs a while ago when I used to do about 18k commuting a year and they lasted no time at all.
